Infinity Corrosion Group, Inc. (ICG) is excited to welcome Jason Mott to our team as a full-time Corrosion Engineer where he will work on infrastructure projects for the water, oil/gas, and transportation industries. Jason’s focus will be on applying his knowledge and experiences to aid in ICG’s corrosion mitigation strategies and processes for our clients.

Jason is originally from Mentor, Ohio and moved to Utah full time in 2018. Prior to entering the workforce, Jason graduated from The University of Akron in 2018 with a unique degree, a BS in Corrosion Engineering. While in school Jason interned with a large defense contractor and a Corrosion Engineering company specializing in cathodic protection and AC mitigation.

After college, Jason started his career in Utah as a Corrosion Engineer for a large defense contractor. He worked on a variety of corrosion issues and mitigation strategies in the design and sustainment of Air Force equipment. Jason was part of a small team of Corrosion Subject Matter Experts that reviewed drawings, technical data, and evaluated new technologies.

He worked closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure performance requirements were met, processes were improved, and corrosion issues were properly tracked and mitigated.

The combination of a corrosion specific degree and professional experience make Jason well rounded in the field of corrosion engineering. In his free time, Jason enjoys the many outdoor activities that Utah has to offer, such as hiking, camping, and skiing. Jason and his wife play in a social cornhole league throughout the year.
