Infinity Corrosion Group, Inc. (ICG) is excited to welcome Eric Nelson, P.E. to our team where he will work on infrastructure projects for the water, oil/gas, and transportation industries as he continues his career as a Corrosion Engineer.  Eric’s focus will be on utilizing his knowledge and experiences to expand ICG’s risk assessment and asset management capabilities for our clients.


Mr. Nelson is a local to the Intermountain West having grown up in Park City, UT. Prior to entering the workforce, Eric graduated Magna Cum Laude from California Polytechnic State University, of San Luis Obispo, California, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.


After college, Eric returned to Utah and started his career as an Integrity Management Engineer working for a large natural gas operator in Salt Lake City, which gave him in-depth knowledge of impressed and galvanic cathodic protection designs. He worked with multiple departments to design, plan, and execute corrosion control project installations. Eric’s role required detailed cost estimating, project management, and documentation.  


Additionally, as part of his role as an Integrity Management Engineer, Eric oversaw and managed the Company’s Internal Corrosion Management Plan and their detailed annual Risk Analysis and Algorithm process. As a result, Eric was a company subject matter expert regarding corrosion and risk related issues for drawing review, standard practice development, and code compliance.
