ICG SERVICES

Specialized Corrosion Engineering Services for Owners and Engineers

Infinity Corrosion Group provides a focused range of corrosion engineering services for the buried and submerged infrastructure that critical industries depend on. From the initial design of a cathodic protection system through decades of monitoring and long-term asset management, ICG works as part of our clients' teams, not as a transactional consultant. Our work is led by AMPP-certified specialists, with all engineering designs stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer.

The six pages below describe our core service lines in detail. Most projects combine more than one of them, and we are happy to scope the right mix for your specific situation.

Impressed current cathodic protection system design by ICG personnel

Design, surveys, and stray current mitigation by AMPP Cathodic Protection Specialists. Impressed current and galvanic systems, annual monitoring, soil corrosivity testing, and AC/DC interference evaluations, with all designs stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer.

Corrosion surveys presenting clean data, analysis, and recommendations

Close interval surveys (CIS), ACVG, DCVG, pipeline current mapping (PCM), soil resistivity testing, structure-to-soil potential surveys, and annual cathodic protection monitoring. Clean data, clear analysis, and recommendations that are easy to act on.

Stray current analysis utilizing long-term datalogging and continuous monitoring

Long-term datalogging and analysis for light rail transit stray current and high-voltage AC interference. Continuous monitoring captures the dynamic patterns that snapshot surveys miss.

Coating inspection on important assets

AMPP Level 3 third-party coating inspection, coating system selection and design, polyurethane adhesion testing, failure investigations, and construction management for rehabilitation and recoating projects.

Interior pipeline condition assessment for capital planning

Interior and exterior pipeline and tank evaluations, drone-based inspection, direct and indirect assessment, metal loss evaluations, materials selection input, and risk-based prioritization for capital planning.

On-site, hands-on training from and ICG professional

On-site, hands-on mentoring for utility crews, engineering staff, and operations teams in cathodic protection fundamentals, survey techniques, and field installation best practices. Built around your actual assets and the questions your team is asking.

How We Work

ICG works as an extension of our clients' teams. We partner with engineering design firms during preliminary design and construction phases, providing corrosion control studies, project specifications, design drawings, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle. We work with owners on long-term asset management: identifying critical infrastructure issues, evaluating alternatives, prioritizing repairs, and developing maintenance plans that fit operating budgets.

For construction projects, we provide submittal reviews, on-site inspection during test station and cathodic protection installations, coating application oversight, and rehabilitation project management. The goal is always the same: practical, defensible engineering that protects the asset and the owner.
